Breakfast. On your Slovenia tour will have the opportunity to see the capital considered in 2022 one of the best value-for-money European tourist destinations. You start with a walking tour through the central square of Ljubljana, Prešeren Square, where the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation is located. See the Cathedral of Ljubljana or St. Nicholas Cathedral which serves the Archdiocese of Ljubljana, continue over the Three Bridges across the river Ljubljanica, and take the funicular to the Ljubljana Castle. The medieval castle with Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance architectural elements, located on top of the hill, overlooks the city center.
Ljubljana has numerous art galleries and museums that you can see, among which are the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art, the National Gallery, and the Gallery of Modern Art. The city center is also home to the works of the famous Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik, whose works were recognized by UNESCO in 2021. Before ending the day, we recommend trying some local food in one of the restaurants, many of which are in the city center, alongside the river. Overnight in Ljubljana.

You can take a ride on a typical boat called Pletna, which takes visitors to the island. Later you will visit the Bled Castle, positioned over the lake like a natural bodyguard. In the afternoon, continue to Bohinj, home to the country’s largest natural lake. It is located in the heart of the Triglav National Park and is considered a Slovenian natural landmark.
