At the halfway point comes a moment of relaxation – to taste local handmade chocolates.
The medieval castle with Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance architectural elements is located on top of the castle hill, which dominates the city center. The city center also houses works of the famous Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik, whose works were recognized by UNESCO in 2021.
Later, departure to Bled with its blue-green lake, its picture-postcard church on an islet, a medieval castle clinging to a rocky cliff, and some of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps as a backdrop. There you will have the opportunity to take a ride on a typical boat called Pletna, which takes visitors to its island. Return to Ljubljana in the afternoon. Overnight in Ljubljana.

5.11.) LJUBLJANA – PTUJ – MARIBOR
Today get your swimsuit ready to enjoy the bubbles. But first, we will visit the oldest city in Slovenia, Ptuj. Not many cities have been as successful as Ptuj in preserving their medieval architectural design. A stroll through the city will lead you to see Roman monuments and magnificent medieval facades. Cobblestone streets and squares will lead you to one of Slovenia’s most majestic castles that offers a view over the roof tiles of medieval monasteries, churches, and other buildings.
And before plunging into the warm pools, you will have the chance to taste local wine and cheeses. You will also be side by side with the oldest vine in the world. Spain, Chile, France, Italy – countries known for their vineyards and wine, but the vine that is in the Guinness World Records book is right here, in Maribor.
The vine is located in the oldest part of the city, in Lent, where it climbs up a building that was once part of the city walls. Its history speaks of its hardiness and remarkable vitality, for in its 450 years the vine has survived everything from Turkish sieges, numerous fires, the vine louse, and city bombardments…. Overnight in Maribor.

Looking for warm thermal pools? Slovenia has plenty of spas and health resorts.
